Dog training goes beyond obedience and compliance. It's about nurturing a lifelong bond built on trust, respect, and understanding.

It’s more than just teaching your dog to “sit” or “stay”.

Training your dog starts with understanding their behaviors, and guiding them to respond in ways that help you navigate life together.

Meet your trainer

Hi, I’m Cheryl Tuttle, CCPDT certified, CGC Evaluator with AKC, and proud owner of Last Paw.

Just like you, I love my dogs and see them as part of our family!

And because of that, I want them to be well-behaved and have good manners so we can have a great relationship where everyone’s happy.

I’ve spent over 20 years learning about dogs, their behaviors, why they act the way they do, and how to keep them (and owners) happy.

In 2006, I was certified as a Dog Trainer through the Animal Behavior College and have been  mentored by local Behaviorist Conni Borwick.

I love seeing happy dogs and owners, and believe everyone can have a well-behaved dog — with the right training.

I thrive on feedback and celebrating every win, big or small, with my clients. I love being their biggest cheerleader and trusted confidant.

If it’s your goal to improve your life and the life of your dog(s), then we can help you!

"Mya was very smart and I knew she would grow to be way bigger than me. I needed to know that I could control her with my words because she was going to be too strong. We started with a private lesson when Mya when she was a rambunctious puppy. Cheryl was very informative, gave us all our options and the services she offers. My immediate impression was that she really knew what she was talking about and how to translate that to us. Mya’s play biting was extreme and Cheryl help me understand it and survive it.."

"We called Cheryl because we were in a complete panic. Luna is our first dog and we were scared to death. The work that Cheryl has helped us with saved our lives. Luna was a typical puppy, but we had no idea what to expect. Cheryl helped calm my nerves and understand what Luna needed. We started with Private Lesson then moved Puppy Kindergarten. Currently we have completed the Basic 1 and Basic 2 group courses as well as continued Private Lessons. We can confidently survive Luna’s adolescence stage through training Cheryl provides. Watching Cheryl work is an experience you have to see in person, she really works magic."
